What’s Good:
Location, View
What’s Bad:
Food, Service, Price
El Rancho de Pablo is a large beachfront restaurant located on Av Raul Leoni with views over Playa Bella Vista. Although it comes recommended by many (including the Lonely Planet) our experience was slightly disappointing.
The restaurant provides a nice view of the beach and the interior is well decorated, the food however, left a little to be desired. Having only eaten there once it is possible that the cook was simply having an off day or that we both ordered meals that simply weren't fabulous but we were disappointed. The service was nice and fast but the waiter stood 5 feet away and blatantly stared at Becky for the entire meal. To say this was weird would be an understatement.

Your experience with this restaurant is met with immense surprise! I have visited Margarita Island several times annually, and I have never encountered anything but first class food, staff, service and facilities for a fine cuisine restaurant on a beach. I am told that Island dignitaries enjoy eating there. I would recommend my personal favorite, Cordon Blue is absolutely fabulous, and the fillet mignon is out of this realm! Seafood is also exquisite and delightly presented in beautiful arrangements on your plate. The kitchen is in full view of the restaurant so you can actually watch them prepare it. Everything is out in the open. I would not hesitate to bring a date there. Bar is well stocked with the finest spirits.

I'm a little curious.... why did you order a steak? You're on a Caribbean island. The point of this restaurant is traditional food (i.e, pastel de chucho and seafood plates).
